About the apt: This is a furnitured and well equipped apt with entrance hall, living room, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed. The balcony has a lovely view of a huge fig tree and sun is shinning all day long (except the cloudy days)! Office supplies, a printer (Canon MP490) and paper is available in case you need to print as well as envelops in need of keeping your documents or send something by post. In the kitchen there are several plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, glasses and cups. Feel free to open all cupboards and use everything. There is a kettle for warming water, a toaster and several spices including salt and pepper. In the bathroom you will find an iron in the under cupboard as well as an extension cord in case you need to use the washing machine. Bed will be tight and ready when you come in together with towels. If you need more sheets or towels, they are available in the wardrobe together with the hungers for your clothes. There is an electric blanket, a heater, a ventilator, a vacuum cleaner and a clothes hanger as well. All books and magazines in the living room are free to read and all drawing material free to use! Feel free to use everything in the apt but the upper storage rooms. They stock my personal stuff in order to let you enjoy they most out of my apt! – Please remove and leave your shoes in the entrance hall. In that way, the floor and carpets will be always clean for you to lay on or walk around. – Please respect my handmade ceramics and paintings. – Please switch off the lights every time before you leave. In the living room you will find the Table control for the electricity supply. All switches should be on, except one which is for warming your bath water. You switch this on 15min before your shower and turn it off when you are done. Please, do not forget this switcher on! – The apt entrance door is highly safe and locks several times with an additional latch. Be sure you do not forget the keys on it! About the neighborhood: The apt is within 2 min walk from the bus & trolley station “Kefallinias”, and 15min walk from the subway station “Victoria”. These options can take you anywhere in Athens, from Syntagma square to Piraeus port or the northern part of Athens. Ideal for students in AUEB & NTUA. A great street and park you can visit anytime in 2min walk is the Fokionos Negri street, where there are many cafeterias, small restaurants, sweet shops and kioskis. Only 20min walk away from the National Archeological Museum and Pedion Areos Park. Many cinemas are located nearby; 24hour places to eat, pharmacies and super markets to get the essential or even your gifts from AB super market’s huge variety of local products. My great suggestion for eating is the place called Spitiko for both food and sweets. Try as many traditional dishes as you can, they are all the same great and do not miss the homemade ice cream in any possible taste! Adress: Patission 142 & Chanion 2. The best way to live the neighborhood is to get around on foot. This area used to be a highlight some decades ago and the architectural remains reveals it. Walk along Patission street which was the first shopping avenue of Athens and you will find everything – from ZARA & Bershka to local – made products. All the way straight, will lead you to Omonoia and eventually near Monastiraki. On your way you can see the University of Economics, the National Archeological Museum and the Athens Polytechnic. If you get lost into center, do not worry. There is always the 24hour number 11 trolley to bring you back home!
